TIME Person of the Year

It is apt that in the year that bloggers in Kuwait changed the ways of politics,
TIME chose
YOU to be the person of the year 2006.

Congratulations!

It is a sweet victory especially because of what we all went through in Kuwait to push for the 5 for Kuwait campaign.

Yes. I think it is a reason to celebrate. I've read some cynical comments about this subject. I think some dismiss achievements, and are comfortable in their pessimism. I think we should celebrate! Congratulations!

Power! We want more of it. However, with it comes responsibility. What will we do with this power?

white wings! :)
I agree. I think some of the loss of privacy is scary. However, with any tool comes opportunity and responsibility – is that contradictory? I guess it could be if it's used maliciously.
The fascinating thing about this network of communication though, is that it seems to be self-censoring. The credibility of sources of information is essential for this power to be harnessed. So, the weak won't survive in this crowd of information.
Also, it's amazing how dependant we became on this network. Imagine if you wake up one day and the Internet wasn't there. Now, that's scary!
